On October 28, 2022, Annapolis Valley Regional Library launched its Adaptive Equipment Loan Program: Hippocampe All-Terrain Wheelchair.

RNS Board of Directors - Slate of Nominees

The Board of Directors of Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) is pleased to announce the Slate of Candidates for the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. Nominations will take place at the AGM on October 21, 2022, 8:30 am-9:30 am at the Delta Hotel in Dartmouth. Nominations can still be taken from the floor that day if a candidate completes all of the required application documents and has submitted them to RNS.

Project Branch Out

In the Summer of 2021 Fawn Logan-Young, a Youth Ambassador with Parks Canada delivered an initiative called ‘Project Branch Out’. The program was designed to offer unique experiences for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) youth in camping, hiking, and paddle sports. Project Branch Out offered these guided sessions for free, partnering with various leaders and organizations to deliver the activities. Read the full story.
