In partnership, Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) and the Recreation Facility Association of Nova Scotia (RFANS) are pleased to announce that funding has been received from the Province of Nova Scotia's Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, for the purpose of professional development of recreational practitioners from across the province.
For the first time since the COVID 19 pandemic began the Atlantic recreation sector will be meeting face to face at the fourth Atlantic Recreation and Facilities Conference and Trade Show (AFRC).
Learn-to Camp in Halifax - Parks Canada Student Job Opportunity

The Parks Canada Learn-to Camp program offers workshops, activities, and overnight experiences, where participants will learn basic camping skills while connecting to nature in a safe and fun environment. We work with organizations like ISANS, the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Mi’kmaq Native Friendship Centre, to name a few, and are committed to offering these outdoor experiences to as diverse an audience as possible. Big News - Call For Applications: Active Transportation Fund

Recently, the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, launched a call for applications for new projects that will support the Active Transportation Fund.
The $400 million Active Transportation Fund is now accepting applications from eligible applicants who wish to help build new and expanded networks of pathways, bike lanes, trails and pedestrian bridges. Funding is available for planning projects as well as capital projects.
